Tiffany Hilman

Tiffany grew up on a farm in central Alberta, and later, as a city folk in Portland, Oregon. She comes from a long line of farmers and gardeners, but doesn’t have much of a green thumb herself. Local food, however, is at the crossroads of two of her passions: the environment and food.

Tiffany earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies in 2007 and has been in the environmental nonprofit sector ever since. As a former Campaigner for a coalition of marine conservation organizations, she helped chefs and grocers choose sustainable sources of wild salmon. She is also a graduate of Vancouver’s Master Recycler program and a long-time volunteer with Food Stash Foundation, helping divert rescued food to food-insecure households. Currently, she’s a Grant Writer and Grants Consultant who has worked with us since 2018 to help get our good work funded. Find out more about her work at tiffanyhilman.ca
