Heather Leary

Heather’s favourite events are those that bring people together to celebrate nature, food, and community.

Growing up in the Comox Valley she was raised in the garden and developed a passion for growing, cooking, canning and eating. She moved to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria and earned a Bachelor of Arts double major in writing and economics as well as a certificate in public relations and then her accreditation in public relations.

After two years at Tourism Victoria in travel media relations, she struck out as an independent. She has worked with a variety of food, wine, spirits and music festivals over the last twenty years. She has also managed a variety of other events including farm markets, Christmas Festivals, Halloween events and the Victoria Seedy Saturday.

When she isn’t at an event, she is working in the garden, canning, baking and encouraging people to try unexpected flavours.
