Testbed Farm

Testbed Farm is a human scale regenerative farm focused on producing seasonal epicurean produce, culinary herbs and nursery stock locally on less than 1 acre of biologically driven plots in North Saanich. Our CSA program runs from mid-late May to late October early November for a total of 20 weekly offerings. In each box expect variety of farm fresh nutritionally dense produce paired with culinary herbs, cut and edible flowers weekly or biweekly that are proven addictive and may cause jealousy amongst coworkers and friends 🙂 Our members over the past few seasons (even some coming from other CSA programs) are continuously surprised at the value, variety and freshness of our CSA offerings.

Our products are only available directly from us and our CSA is our main outlet for all that we grow. Yes we exclusively farm for our CSA members and only offer a limited amount of new memberships each year to keep quality and per box value much higher than most other CSAs intentionally-you deserve it! We also offer delivery options for a nominal added fee for those that cannot make it to the farm for pickup.

A bit more about the farm and what makes it so unique. We strictly employ hardened regenerative practices and lab quantify the results through regular base biota testing which identifies, measures and tracks the microorganisms living in our soil. We operate a biologically driven semi closed nutrient loop meaning we rely on populations of soil borne microorganisms that we have been carefully fostering in our soil since 2022 as our primary nutrient source. We only sow NON GMO, locally adapted, open pollinated heirloom and organic seed, we only employ permanent raised beds (no till), and we are completely pesticide, herbicide and fungicide free since day 1. All of which culminates in locally grown food with the utmost care for our soil, our environment and our surrounding community for many years to come.
