Starting a Seed Garden is a hands-on Seedy Sunday workshop at our Seed Library of Galiano allotment garden. We want to work on, with your help, setting up our seed garden for success this growing season – and at the same time support and inspire you to grow and save seeds in your own gardens. We will focus on preparing beds and sowing spring crops that tolerate cool temperatures: peas, lettuce, cilantro and more. Participants will learn about how to grow a healthy population size, as well as techniques for preparing a garden bed, and sowing seeds. There will be seedlings, plant divisions, and SLOG seeds for participants to take home.
