You have the power to make a difference! Together we can build food systems in BC that are strong, sustainable, equitable, and resilient. As a member, you are:
All annual memberships are valid between January 1st to December 31st, regardless of their purchase date.
Individual – A person who is more than 18 years of age, but fewer than 65 years of age
Student/Senior – A person who is fewer than 25 years of age and attending a recognized educational institution in a full-time capacity; or a person who is 65 years of age or greater
Equity-Deserving Individual – An individual who, because of systemic discrimination, faces barriers that prevent them from having the same access to the resources and opportunities that are available to other members of society, and that are necessary for them to attain just outcomes. Includes, but is not limited to, Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, newcomers, refugees and asylum seekers, persons with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and others experiencing barriers to societal opportunity and participation.
New Entrant Farmer – An individual responsible for the management decisions in operating an agricultural or agrifood business for 5 years or less, or who intends to establish an agricultural or agrifood business.
Professional or Consultant – A person who is an active member of a professional designation; or a person who actively provides professional sector-related consulting services
Family – One or more persons who are more than 18 years of age and one or more dependent persons who are 18 years of age or fewer, residing in the same household
Organization – A non-profit or industry association or educational institution or government agency/ministry with purposes similar to or aligned with those of FFCF
Farm – A farm business that is operated as an individual or with family members or as a cooperative/collective/communal farm together
Culinary & Agri-Food Industry – A sector-related food or agriculture business other than a farm (ie: restaurant, processor, distributor, wholesaler, retailer, ) with purposes aligned with those of FFCF.
We require Families, Farms, Organizations and Culinary & Agri-Food Industry members to designate an authorized representative.
