Jennifer Freeman has been actively increasing food sustainability on Vancouver Island for over 15 years. With her background in Environmental Science, her love for nature and good food, she became an organic farmer and focused on mobilizing change to enhance support for local producers, educating others on local food along the way.

As her community leadership increased, her urban farm became a rural acreage and she engaged city folks in farm experiences, which led to organizing five Island Feasts for FarmFolk CityFolk. With a life change, she moved back to Greater Victoria, and channels her farming experience into teaching and food garden installations with her business Zero Mile Solutions. She works closely with School District #62 to support, educate and grow one of the most dynamic high school gardens on the island.

She is an experienced mother who loves biking, hiking, the West Coast and travelling anywhere different from here.
