Dan Straker, MRM, Director
Dan Straker is a social-ecological systems planner with ten years of experience in non-profits focused on issues within Coast Salish lands. He is currently project manager of the Resilient Waters project of Tides Canada Initiatives which looks to upgrade flood infrastructure for salmon and communities adapting to climate change impacts on the Lower Fraser River.
Dan has also worked with Stanley Park Ecology Society, Georgia Straight Alliance, and SFU Adaptation to Climate Change Team on similar complex social-ecological collaboratives involving multi-sector interdisciplinary problem-solving. Dan is also a father in training, a white settler of mixed northern European ancestry, a born and bred Vancouverite, an amateur game designer, and enjoyer of nachos.
