Adebusola (Debbie) Oyenuga, MSc., Treasurer

Debbie Oyenuga is a graduate of the Master of Food and Resource Economics Program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) as well as a MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program alumnus. She has worked with Vancity where she did research on a report published by CBC news on waste avoidance in British Columbia. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan. She is a member of the Association of Accounting technicians West Africa. She brings her knowledge of food systems, trade forecasting, and financial analysis to the board and activities of FarmFolk CityFolk.

She is an advocate of sustainable agriculture and food security. Her passion resonates with the Sustainable Development Goal 2 – No Hunger. She co-hosted a session on “The role of women in Food Security” during the International Development Week at UBC. She loves photography, observing nature, and cooking local dishes.
