FED Urban Farm grows spray-free produce at the foot of the Bay Street Bridge in the heart of Victoria using over 3500 geotextile containers. The farm is a living example of how underutilized land can be transformed into vibrant, productive growing space.

“Our CSA program was originally started during the Covid Pandemic, when many restaurants shut their doors or decreased their capacity. We knew we needed to find a different way to get our produce directly to people, so a CSA was a perfect way to pivot to our direct community. We love being able to interact with people who value local food and consume the veggies we grow!”

Run by FED Urban Agriculture, a charity that creates urban food systems projects that connect Victorians to local food, the farm provides a central hub for FED’s programming, which includes helping vulnerable populations grow food, establishing gardens on under utilized urban land, and creating low-barrier educational and employment opportunities. All proceeds from the farm go towards FED’s charitable programming.

“Our CSA program kicks off May 22 – October 2 and includes 20 weeks of freshly harvested and locally grown veggies! By joining our CSA program, the community will support FED’s charitable work, helping vulnerable populations grow food and transforming urban land into vibrant and productive food hubs. This year, we are offering a small or a large share membership. The small share contains 4-5 items per week and is great for an individual or couple who want a reliable weekly source of leafy greens and other FED Farm-grown items!

“The large share contains 8-10 items that are grown at FED Farm and supplemented by other local farms to increase diversity in the box week to week. We are also introducing a Workplace CSA this year!
