Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture - Vancouver Island Feast of Fields

The Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture is an environment and food-systems non-profit organization, stewarding 83 acres of farmland, seasonal wetland, meadow and forest in North Saanich, BC.

Sandown supports and engages with emerging growers, researchers, community members and regional farmers; working together to build a thriving, climate change-resilient, sustainable local food system.

Since 2023, we have had a Seed Farm Hub site at Sandown where we grow seed crops for our Citizen Seed Trials and CANOVI trials.

At Sandown, they showcase environmentally sustainable agriculture, demonstrate soil and ecosystem restoration, and empower our community to take action on climate change through food systems transformation!

Their work centres on three pillars, which guide their programs and operations.

The Vancouver Island Feast of Fields will be held on Sunday, August 25th, at The Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture.

Athiana Acres - Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields

Athiana Acres is a 30-acre regenerative (and soon-to-be certified organic) farm nestled in Steveston BC, growing a diverse range of vibrant vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. Athiana Acres launched in Fall 2022, with a vision to transform the farm into a thriving regenerative ecosystem by implementing practices focused on improving soil health – including cover cropping, crop rotations, promoting biodiversity and minimizing soil disturbances.

The team at Athiana Acres is working to create a space that is not only incredibly productive in growing high-quality foods, but also a place filled with beautiful landscapes, working in harmony with nature. You can find their products in dishes at restaurants around Greater Vancouver or pick them up yourself at their on-site farm market, as well as pop-up markets around the city. You can also visit the farm to experience tours, educational workshops, long table dinners and other unique community events.

The Vancouver Feast of Fields will be held on Sunday, September 8th at Athiana Acres.

Niche Wine Co. - Okanagan Feast of Fields

Nestled in the hills of West Kelowna, at the base of the McDougall Rim Trail, you will find Niche Wine Co., a vineyard run by the Schlosser family.

Meet James. James Schlosser is the Co-Founder and Winemaker for Niche. He is also a Master of Science, Hugh’s Dad, and a farmer—through and through. When he’s not pressing grapes, bottling wine or power washing, you can usually find him drinking all the Pinot noir and playing with LEGO.

Meet Joanna. Joanna Schlosser is the Co-Founder and CEO for Niche. She is also a Creative Director, Hugh’s Mom, an avid wine enthusiast. Brand building, storytelling, and Pinot are probably her three favourite things to do but she is also a big fan of walking her labrador, building community, and a good late-night Instagram scroll.

The Okanagan Feast of Fields will be held on Sunday, September 15th, at Niche Wine Co.
